Photography Sessions
From Senior Portrait sessions and Family Portrait Sessions to Headshots and Product Photos, A Tale To Tell Photography can meet your needs. We come to you- to your home, a favorite park, or any place which may be special to you. Most of our sessions include 2 photographers. We can provide you with twice as many images in your gallery, varying from close-ups to full body shots.
We were recently hired to photograph 136 kids at a local preschool. While it is akin to herding cats, we found it to be a lot of fun and extremely rewarding. We have already added Preschool Photography to our portfolio and look to expand to several more schools this year.
Express
Our Express session is perfect for those who simply want a few different shots. It includes a 30-minute session with 2 photographers, at 1 local outdoor location, and an online gallery of at least 30 images for viewing and ordering.
Our Express session is $150. No minimum print purchase is required. The non-refundable session fee is due in advance to commit to a date & time.
Prints, canvases, and digital images can be purchased separately.
Basic
Our Basic session is great for families and seniors. It includes a 1-hour session with 2 photographers, at 1 outdoor location, and an online gallery of over 50 images for viewing and ordering that you may share with family and friends.
Our Basic session is $250, plus a $200 minimum print purchase is required. A $125 non-refundable session retainer is required to commit to a date & time. The balance (including the required print purchase) is due 1 week prior to shooting.
The minimum print purchase can be used for prints and digital images.
Standard
Our Standard session is our most popular with seniors. It allows us to truly personalize and capture a variety of looks. It includes 2 hours with 2 photographers, 3-4 outfit changes, multiple locations, and a gallery of over 100 images for viewing and ordering that you may share with family and friends.
Our Standard session is $400, plus a $350 minimum print purchase is required. Included with your session is a free 20-page hard-cover memory book. Each page will have an 8x10 print (of your choosing) on a white background. These are perfect at graduation parties for family and friends to write well wishes. A $125 non-refundable session retainer is required to commit to a date & time. The balance (including the required print purchase) is due 1 week prior to shooting.

One of the biggest concerns that our seniors have is OMG… WHAT DO I WEAR?!?! Senior pictures are a HUGE deal and we know you want to get it right! So we've complied a wardrobe guide to help you out.
Headshots
Our Headshot package is perfect for those looking to update their social media or professional presence. It includes a 20-minute session at our studio location, and an online gallery of 10-20 images for viewing and ordering. Our Headshot package is $75, and includes 1 edited, high-resolution digital images suitable for online or print publication. Additional edited, high-resolution digital images can be purchased for $45 each. The non-refundable session fee is due in advance to commit to a date & time.
We also offer a Group Headshot package for businesses and organizations (or groups of 5 or more). Our Group Headshot Package is $50/person at our studio location. We can come to your office for a minimum fee of $50/hour depending on distance. Each person will receive an online gallery of their images and 1 edited, high-resolution digital image, suitable for online or print publication. Additional images can be purchased for $45 each.
Sports & Activity
Our Sports & Activity session is perfect for those looking to capture memories of their kids "doing their thing." You enjoy the game, let us worry about taking the pictures. It includes 2 hours with 2 photographers, at the location of your event. Our Sports & Activity session is $200 (additional travel fees may apply). You will receive all of the unedited images from the event. Individual edited, high-resolution digital images and prints are available for purchase.
A $125 non-refundable session retainer is required to commit to a date & time. The balance is due 1 week prior to shooting.
Products
We work with several local artists and merchants to photograph their work. If you need photos of your work to submit to a juried show, or to use for literature or advertising, our Products package is for you.
Our Product sessions are $50/hour (minimum 2 hours) at our studio location. We can come to your location and set up our lights and backdrop with a $100 travel and setup fee. We shoot tethered to a laptop so that you can see each image as it's shot and make whatever adjustments you want. The images you select will be final edited. Each edited high-resolution digital image is $15.
We can also customize fixed-price pricing depending on the volume of items to be photographed.
Additional travel fees may apply depending how far you are from Sugar Land.
Events
We can photograph your event. With A Tale To Tell Pictures you get 2 photographers. We both shoot together. One of us shoots with a zoom lens for nice candid close ups, and the other shoots with a wider angle lens for nice group shots. We will mingle with the crowd and take candid shots as well as impromptu groups. Of course we will also shoot whatever groupings you need.
Our rate is $125/hour for the first 2 hours, and $100/hour after that. A travel fee may apply depending on your venue location. A $125 non-refundable session retainer is required to commit to a date & time. The balance is due 1 week prior to shooting.
We will provide you with an online gallery of the photos. They will be minor edited for exposure, contrast, etc. Your guests can download whatever images they want for free. Prints, photo books, and fully edited, high-resolution images can be purchased separately.
Pets
We love pets. We own pets, and we love to photograph them. The Pet session is $150/pet and includes a 30-minute session at the park or in our studio, as well as 3 edited high-resolution digital images. The non-refundable session fee is due in advance to commit to a date & time.
Additional prints and digital images can be purchased separately.
The number of images in your gallery will vary based on the cooperation level of the pet. We will do our best to get as many shots as possible.
SEASONAL SESSIONS
Bluebonnet Package
Our 30-minute bluebonnet session is $150, which includes a $50 purchase credit towards prints and digital images. The non-refundable session fee is due in advance to commit to a date & time.
Bluebonnet session location will vary, but will typically be within an hour of Sugar Land.
This is a seasonal session. When we announce dates, don't delay, because they fill up fast. Let us know if you'd like to be notified when bluebonnet dates are announced.
Christmas Mini Sessions
Our 20-minute Christmas Mini session is held locally at an outdoor location. We offer 2 Christmas Mini session packages. The first is $250 and includes 10 digital images. The second package is $150 and includes 5 digital images. The non-refundable session fee is due in advance to commit to a date & time.
Additional prints and digital images can be purchased separately.
